What is the purpose of the study? We are seeking to gain some insight on how justice practitioners wish to prioritize spending of Byrne/JAG grant funding allocated to Louisiana by the US Department of Justice over the next two years.
What will be done if you agree to take part in this research study? By clicking next, you agree to take a survey about the Byrne/JAG program that should take about 10-15 minutes to complete. Please take your time – and, by no means, is there any penalty for not participating. Further, you may stop at any time without penalty.
What are the possible discomforts and risks? We do not expect there to be risks associated with your participation in this research. In order to protect the confidentiality of your answers, we will not ask you your name and no responses will be linked with individual participants.
What are the possible benefits to taking part in this research? This research will provide a deeper understanding of the priorities of Louisiana justice practitioners as a whole.
Will there be any costs related to the research? None
Will there be any compensation for participation? None.
How will your privacy and the confidentiality of your research records be protected? The system may tie your invite information (first name, last name, email) to a response recorded in the system but will not tie your responses to your identity. Any identifying information, if presented to researchers, will be immediately removed from the record. Only the PIs will have access to the dataset, and the dataset’s existence on the Survey Monkey server will be removed immediately after the data collection phase.
