This two-day training is designed to strengthen multidisciplinary collaboration and enhance coordinated, victim-centered responses to domestic violence and sexual assault. It is intended for professionals who play a role in responding to and supporting victims and survivors, including victim advocates, law enforcement, prosecutors, healthcare professionals, probation and parole, court personnel, and other community partners.

Bulletproof Vest Partnership (BVP) Program Application Period Open

The Office of Justice Programs’ Bureau of Justice Assistance opened the Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 Bulletproof Vest Partnership (BVP) Program application period, on Monday, October 20, 2025. All applications must be submitted online at Bulletproof Vest Partnership: Login (usdoj.gov) by 6:00 pm Eastern Time on Friday, December 19, 2025.

The purpose of the BVP Program is to reimburse states, units of local government, and federally recognized Indian tribes, i.e., jurisdictions, for up to 50 percent of the cost of body armor vests purchased for law enforcement officers. If you or someone you know was impacted by the tragic events on Bourbon Street on January 1, 2025, please know that help is available. Victims of this attack may be eligible for assistance through the Louisiana Crime Victims Reparations Program.

LCLE announces the retirement of long-time employee Robert (Bob) Wertz after 48+ years of service
